Hey there, I'm Jess Malz! I grew up in a household buzzing with entrepreneurial spirit—my parents launched their own business right in our basement. I inherited my mom's savvy business instincts, and my father’s creative experimentation. To make a long story short, let's just say school and I weren't exactly besties for the first 23 years of my life. But, I stumbled into a school and degree that was based in experiential learning and it was the beginning of a deep love story.

As a neurodiverse and queer individual, when I gazed out at the world of work, I thought, "Nope, not for me!" My vision has always been to create an organization that's its own subculture—a world I want to live and work in. Where you can bring your full self, where roles are based on your unique strengths and abilities. Where it's safe to fail, a place to grow. Where we prioritize people above profit.

In 2015 I founded Inward Bound, a coaching business focusing on unleashing individual purpose, joy, and leadership. With my curiosity at the wheel, I dove headfirst into coaching, which quickly expanded to include facilitation, learning design, and all things creative. I said YES to every opportunity that came my way to craft and lead learning experiences. Working with orgs became my jam, and in 2018, Inward Bound got a makeover, and in came INBO!

I'm all about kicking down the doors of convention. The world is on fire, and through our work and this small company, I hope to touch as many lives as I can—to support people and teams to show up and act in a responsive and kind way, embracing challenges as opportunities, and working together to bring our best foot forward.
